What is NFT?

A non-fungible token (NFT) is a unit of data stored on a digital ledger or spreadsheet, called a blockchain. The blockchain certifies a digital asset to be unique.  NFTs can represent items such as artwork, photos, videos, audio, and other types of digital files. Copyright generally remains with the creator or author. Access to a copy of the original filecan be granted to the buyer of the token. NFTs are tracked on blockchains to provide the owner with a proof of ownership that is separate from copyright while copies of these digital items are available for anyone to obtain.

NFT are bought and sold online, frequently with cryptocurrency, and they are generally encoded with the same underlying software as many cryptos.

Although NFTs have been around since 2014, they are gaining notoriety because they are becoming an increasingly popular way to buy and sell digital artwork.

Girl Making Peace Sign Wearing Leg Warmers – 4K Original

This is the drawing Ava made of a girl. She had no intention of drawing this particular girl. In fact, she said she did not have anything in mind when she began to draw. The end result was a young girl that has sort of a retro 80’s rocker style. Sort of like Pat Benatar or Joan Jett (for the older crowd). This design is availabe as wall art and shirts as well as an NFT.

8-Bit Yellow and Purple Happy Bird

You may seen this happy bird before. It was one of the original items posted here for sale as a canvas print. The original bird was created when Ava and I began drawing together. I drew simple shapes and Ava filled in the details and also colored the items. The result was a series of cute and funny birds. This yellow and purple bird is one of my favorites. I may offer this as a shirt in the near future.

8-Bit Peacock

The original peacock that Ava drew has been updated as an 8-Bit drawing. This was a fun challenge to take her art and make a new creation out of it. She loves how it turned out.

This is the pixelated or 8-bit rendition of Ava’s Glittery Peacock. Her original drawing was inspired by a t-shirt she owns. The shirt features a peacock. She loved the design so much she created her own version.
